The next best thing to being in Louisiana with this amazing crew is watching a Robert Field produced series about our trip with this amazing crew. If you haven’t watched Episode 1 yet, get on it!
The South Louisiana Behind the Trip series is back… this time I talk about why I appreciate our team so much and how they helped make this trip happen.
My interactions with Jesse, Ryan, Paul and Alex are what inspires me to tell these stories. This journey would not have been the same without them.
This trip pushed my personal comfort levels, challenged my angling knowledge and set me straight all at the same time. This trip wasn’t without its risks, challenges and failures. It was no fairytale by any means. However I would argue to anyone that this trip was one of the most special trips I have ever taken. I quite literally have a thousand reasons to love this trip and I am going to try to cover them all… sorry in advance, this is gonna be a long one.
The final push of our 4,000 + mile journey. The last hotel stay, the last few fill-ups ohhh and the last opportunity to buy Disneyland quality fireworks (GIGGIDY).
The absolute worst part of any trip is when it is over. Though we still had over 2K miles to drive… the trip was largely over. Time to reflect, time to think about what is next… time for more FOOD!
What defines us isn’t the logo on our back, the hat we are wearing, or the sweatshirt we are sporting… nope. It is our heart that defines us and the last two days of fishing on this trip proved that!
High winds… the whole freaking time. They never stopped, it kept blowing and blowing and blowing… and then blew some more. To make matters worse there were 18 of us looking to score!!!
We tried… we honestly did. We under estimated how much we needed to get done every day which left very little time for blogging… sorry we suck!
Drive 500 + miles per day, eat delicious meals, road tripping with my Pops, visit good friends and FINALLY seeing PAC… Challenge accepted!
