Last week we took a break from working and visited our favorite kayak dealer Pure Watersports out of Dana Point Harbor to give some belated Christmas presents to our extended family members.
During the holidays our family was hit with COVID which meant that our already limited holidays plans were cancelled and gift delivery was postponed. Fast forward to last week and why Christmas came so late for some.
So my wife (Sylvia), Joe and I charged down the 5 freeway and exited Las Ramblas for the first time this year. It was a gorgeous day with warm temps, flat water and next to no wind.
We got to see Tim and Karen Boyer… owners our Pure Watersports in Dana Point and Oceanside. We also had a chance to visit with Guy… the happiest damn dude you will ever meet. Santa knew exactly what to get them this year… new Fish Village sweatshirts and shirts.
Tim and I spoke about the 2021 Hobie team and plans for the rest of the year. Good news folks… Fishing w/Friends is coming back this year. More details on that soon!
While we were down there we also announced the winner of the Redfish Tackle Pack Giveaway… Harry Franco, a long time Fish Village supporter, military veteran and Central Coast (CCKF) kayak angler. Congrats again Harry, we were excited when we pulled your name.
Check out a few of the posts from last week:
The South Louisiana Behind the Trip series is back… this time I talk about why I appreciate our team so much and how they helped make this trip happen.
This is a story of when Charlie accidently caught an octopus and tried to figure out how to remove it while we did nothing to help him except ridicule and laugh. It is good stuff!
